Abigail studies dolphins, and one evening she witnesses a shooting on a small boat. Unable to do anything for the Russian agent who has been killed, she rescues a local man who was also a victim. With the help of the dolphins and the added power of her sisters, she brings him to shore, where she finds Alexandr Volstov, the Interpol agent who once broke her heart. Like Feehan's Carpathian saga, the Drake series is a complex blend of fantasy and suspense with a substantial backstory. Readers unfamiliar with the Drake sisters will be left somewhat at sea trying to come up to speed on the sisters, their talents, their loves, and the intriguing setting.
