ZOOBREAK: the release of animals from the inside of a zoo, sometimes illegal, always dangerous ...
A monkey is missing. And it's not just any monkey—it's Savannah Drysdale's monkey, Cleo, who's also the best friend of a certain Doberman named Luthor.
Savannah, Luthor, and Savannah's friends Griffin and Ben search everywhere for Cleo—but all they can find is one very suspicious banana.
The next day, Griffin, Savannah, and Ben take a field trip to a floating zoo ... and find a monkey who Savannah swears is Cleo. The evil zookeeper, Mr. Nastase, isn't going to let her go. Other adults (like the police) aren't about to help.
Luckily, Griffin Bing is a Man With a Plan, and he, Ben, Savannah, and their other friends are soon planning the biggest zoobreak this particular floating zoo has ever seen. There's only one big problem: If you break a bunch of animals out of a zoo, where do you put them once they're out?

Fans of Griffin Bing's first adventure, SWINDLE, will be thrilled with this follow-up, and though listeners don't need to have read that story, they won't want to miss it. Here narrator Jonathan Ross has a field day, giving strong performances as Bing and the other members of this motley crew of sixth-graders. Someone has swiped Savannah's monkey, and when the gang discovers her in a fleabag zoo, the bumbling villains come to rue the day they messed with these kids. High jinks ensue, and Ross brings them all off with such spirited conviction that listeners will think there may have been a caper or two in his own childhood. D.G.
