In this entertaining and lively volume, art director Eckert presents photographs and ideas, games really, for connecting with nature and other people. For instance, the author asks readers to try reorganizing their work spaces, to read something totally unrelated to their typical interests, and to think like an actor. One of the most intriguing challenges is to assign a color to a sound and a picture to a smell. VERDICT Eckert provides alternative ways of viewing average things. By attempting but a few of her exercises, readers will discover a new outlook on the world.
