Saundra picks up where If It Ain't about the Money (2018) left off. Isis and Secret make excellent money managing the business side of a custom car shop which is actually a front for a drug business. Their boss, Kyle, wants them to help grow the business across the country, from Miami to California. But money isn't enough to help Secret's younger sister, Penny, who is recovering after the trauma of a rape. Secret sets her up in the apartment she wants, but when Penny moves their estranged mother in, Secret can't handle it. Isis discovers the ex-boyfriend who stole from her wants her back, but she doesn't trust him, even when he returns the money. She seeks advice from her mother in prison but does not see what a danger Bobbi has become underneath his slick words and respectful front. Isis, Secret, and Penny are tough, smart characters who keep each other going and band together, even when the wrong choices hurt them.
