      Hawley ("Managing the Older Employee"), a leadership development coach, presents and advises on ten career-defining moments, ranging from meeting the CEO to being fired to being asked to commit an ethical violation. Hawley excels at basic office politics done right, an often-neglected subject, and her chaptersclear, concise, and easy to read, including not just positive strategies, but also pitfalls, such as an early section on "games NOT to play with an executive"follow a smooth progression over a typical career arc. The strategies are engaging and relevant. Strongly recommended, especially in communities with an up-and-coming workforce.
